New York Boat Show
Oh yeah, there’s a boat show in New York City. Fifteen years ago the New York Boat Show was a big event, with my old employer Boating Magazine holding a big party in the Rainbow Room. But every year it seemed to get smaller, cursed in part by always being booked somewhere between Christmas and New Year’s.
The Great Recession won’t help, but changing the show dates to the 20-24th of January should be a step in bringing the NY Show back in the right direction. Hope that reflects in the vibe walking the floor and will be reflected in the hard numbers after the show.
